We bought our first pair of Percheron geldings in 1987 with the intent on pleasure driving and were introduced into showing shortly afterward. Our family really enjoyed the small shows back then and as our love for the Percheron breed grew and the excitement of having prize winning horses developed, we now find our horse family has grown to around 25 Percherons draft horses.
At first we showed Percherons exclusively for years, hitching up to 6 at a time. We were also involved in showing a few of our drafts in halter.
With our extensive experience after years of hitch shows, we branched out our interests into starting a specialty carriage ride business in 1995 with service for weddings, proms, parades and custom made specialty events. We have two carriages, one sleigh and two people movers. Our clients have enjoyed the versatility of not only our carriages but also the choice of either black or white Percheron drafts to drive with.
Most recently, we have extended our breeding of Percheron draft horses into crossing with our beautiful gaited Tennesse Walkers. The cross of our homozygous tobiano stallion with our percheron mares has made for some very colorful crossbreeds - great for pleasure and dressage!
Among other services that we can provide, are training draft horses to ride and drive, and we also train light horses for driving only.
